At Conductive Education with Rachel Short I work with children with motor disorders, sensory needs, Autism, ADHD and many more using the principles of Conductive Education.
This can be individual sessions at your home, your child's Nursery/School or Online. Plus I also run small group sessions aswell at Live Well North East.
What is Conductive Education
Conductive Education (CE) is a holistic learning approach based on the educational philosophy of Hungarian Professor András Pető. Conductive Education is based on the idea of neuroplasticity—that the brain can be "re-wired" through conscious, intentional practice.
Conductive Education focuses on what they can do and teaches them the skills to do.
CE is a unique system of learning as it integrates education, movement, play, and psychology. It focuses not only on developing childrens gross and fine motor skills but developing them as a whole person.
It recognises that everyone has different learning needs and supports children in building the confidence to make their personality shine through.
Conductive Education is about Learning, not treatment as we holistically integrate the physical tasks with cognitive, emotional, and social learning.
When a child completes a task, they're not just moving a limb—they're actively learning the strategy to gain independence in an everyday, meaningful activity.

My mission is to provide Conductive Education sessions in a supportive learning environment to encourage active learning and build confidence in not just their skills but themselves. I believe everyone has the ability to learn and develop skills.
